These files are typically created by NFS clients when a process tries to unlink an open file. .sp .LP For a description of the SMF properties that control when this service runs, see the \fBsvc.periodicd\fR(8) man page. These properties may be viewed or modified by using the \fBsvccfg\fR command. .sp .LP This service depends on \fBsvc:/network/nfs/server\fR, and will not run if NFS service is disabled. .sp .LP Earlier releases of the Oracle Solaris system removed \fB.nfs\fR files by using a root cron job. During the upgrade to Oracle Solaris 11.4, if there had been local changes to that cron job, the upgrade process would have commented it out. This would result in the \fBsvc:/network/nfs/cleanup\fR service placing itself into the \fBDEGRADED\fR state. After (optionally) changing the schedule of the nfs/cleanup service to match the old cron job, the system administrator can remove the old job from the root crontab. You can use the \fBsvcadm clear\fR command to move the \fBnfs/cleanup\fR service out of the \fBDEGRADED\fR state. .SH ATTRIBUTES .sp .LP See \fBattributes\fR(7) for descriptions of the following attributes: .sp .TS tab( ) box; cw(2.75i) |cw(2.75i) lw(2.75i) |lw(2.75i) .
