The \fBkstat2adm\fR command provides the facility to manage optional kstats. Optional kstats are those that are not created automatically, unless explicitly enabled.

The tool enables the user to list the registered optional kstats, and enable or disable such kstats, and to manage the persistence of the enabled state across reboots.

The \fBPRIV_KSTAT_MANAGE\fR privilege and the \fBsolaris.smf.manage.kstats\fR authorization is required to change the enabled state of optional kstats.
